help with command VI edit mode

    Hi there :)

    A im new to linux world and i need some information i followed an Tuturial but i dont know how the edit system works :S

    bv :

    vi /etc/my.cnf

    you need to etern

    Blahvlahblah

    What are the commands for this to edit and to save and to re-edit again,

    You should be able to type vimtutor at a shell prompt and have it teach you how to use it.

    Do you need vi or you don't know other editors?

    there some other editors?? that vim sux alot.

    Sure, almost infinite :)

    Try mcedit (sudo apt-get install mc).

    Once you know your way around vim it's simple and quick for editing...reminds me a whole lot of the old days when programs were stored on punch cards ;)

    i found in Vim finaly the command :D

    if you edit the text with i
    if you are done with writing text you do pres key Esc
    than safe file u do hi the key :x :D
