I am new to this I have followed the directions at http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_setup_centos5.0_p5 and when i try to telnet localhost 25 i get telnet localhost 25 Trying 127.0.0.1... Connected to localhost.localdomain (127.0.0.1). Escape character is '^]'. _ thats it nothing else can someone please help me out
Are there any errors in your mail log (in the /var/log/ directory)? BTW, CentOS 5.0 is really old. You should use something newer (CentOS 5.6 if you want to go with CentOS 5.x, otherwise use CentOS 6.0).
