Hosting subdomain only?

I need to hust subdomain only. Here are the steps I did:

1. Created A record on domain registrar site and point its ip to ISPConfig,
2. Created two dnz zones one with domain.com and other with sub.domain.com and both zones have A record of subdomain name.
3. Created website with sub.domain.com name.

Problem is when I enter sub.domain.com, I see;

and I can not view/browse uploaded files. This is not default ISPConfig's page. Where am I missing?

Can you please paste your /etc/hosts entries.

Ok I fixed it by, first adding ip address to server wide in and re-created web site with that ip address selected.

Was that correct way to do with also usual website (not sub domain)?

 

Yes that is important step, to get the websites in running pace.
