    Hello,
i have a question. I have dedicated server with ispconfig and latest debian 12. I have set up my domain as hostname, but i would like to use this domain as a hostname and for website. Can I with no problems add this domain which is use as a host for my server add to webserver with phpfpm, upload scripts and use it? Or host domain shoul not be created in webserver?

If understand you correctly, you want to use your domain.tld as hostname for your ISPConfig server, for that the answer is no. You must use sub.domain.tld as hostname for your ISPConfig server.

On whether you can use sub.domain.tld for both your server hostname and website, the answer is yes but it is not encouraged unless your technical no how is good because the current ISPConfig code does not support it out of box, as it may fail to renew, so some adjustments are necessary, if you want to pursue the same.

Thank you for your reply. Now I have set as my hostname for server sub.domain.tld and as you wrote, i would like to use domain.tld whis is set as hostname as a website. So my question if i can add domain.tld to webserver and use it as a standard website or if here any specific settings which i have to do.

In that given scenario, I think you are good to create a website under your domain.tld with no problem, nothing specific to do.
