I have a server currently running ubuntu server edition with ISPConfig 3. Would it be possible for me to copy all files on the root of my server to a small flash drive to then copy onto the new server installation of ubuntu on a different computer? Its a tricky situation as I cannot hook my laptop drive to a desktop motherboard so the only way to transfer is to use a 16GB memory stick to transfer the system. Drive imaging would be out of the question as there is no way of fitting the partition on the flash drive.

Also if simply copying whats in the root of old installation to a new installation would the processes still run correctly? apache, mysql etc..

    Any advice welcome :)
