How do we handle cyrus defunct process?

    Hi

    Whenever i restart cyrus (on RHEL 4), some of imap process will be defunct. Any harm and any impact and any way to overcome this?

    Even restart cyrus and reboot does not help.

    I dont think that thsi is a big problem unless they dont get more and eat up your memory.

    Did the defunct processes alyways have the same process ID or did the ID change from time to time?

    Can ypi kill the processes with "kill -9 [PID]" where [PID] is the ID of the process that shall be killed.
