as a web designer, i've historically used the .GIF image format a lot for transparency stuff-- since IE so famously does not fully support the alpha channel of the .PNG (or some such IE nonsense)

yet, i notice that 'none' of the standard image apps i'm using in Fedora Core 5 seem to support .gif. i think they'll all view them, but they won't save as gif. the GIMP will save as .gif, but i wish i had something a little more like gThumb which might open quickly, let me resize, and close-- quickly as i can do w/ a jpg or png in gThumb or KView, or etc.

where is the GIF viewer / editor for Fedora (other than the GIMP)?
    thanks!
