    Hey all,

I have a server that I installed the "Perfect Ubuntu Server 8.10" on, along with the ISPConfig part. It is running great and I love it. I now have a new site that I want to have it secured, meaning when a user goes to it they are prompted with entering in a user name and password. I guess that is done with htaccess. Is there an easy way to do so? It needs to be just for one domain. Also is there a way for the users to register to get there username and password word or do I just assign it to them?

If you're using ISPConfig 2, you can password-protect directories in the Web-FTP module.

Cool, I'll take a look again, as I did not see it when I looked. I do use version 2. How does it use the login info? Does it just pull it from the email users?

;) Right on thanks! I see how to do it. Now my questions are:

1:) Is there a way to allow the users to change their own password?
2:) Is there a way to generate a report that will show when and which
    users have logged in.

    No.
    No, that's not possible either.

falko, would you happen to know of or can point me in the right direction of a way to accomplish this even if it's not using the setup I've got?

That's not possible without doing major changes to ISPConfig 2.
