I have an existing Ubuntu 6.06tls server running Postfix 2.2.10 for send/receive pop3 mail. Runs great. I am now replacing my hardware with new server and installing unbuntu 9.10 and latest version of postfix. I want to know if there is a way I can backup Postfix on my old server and lay it back down on my new server with the new version of Postfix? I would like not to have to reconfigure all users mailboxes and passwords Thanks
Basically all you have to do is use the same configuration on the new server and copy over the mailboxes. http://www.howtoforge.com/how-to-migrate-mailboxes-between-imap-servers-with-imapsync
