    Hi guys
I've been hosting a domain 'custdomain.com.au'. The customer has moved the site to another server but wants me to keep hosting the old website under the subdomain old.custdomain.com.au

They've already pointed that address to my server and I think all I need to do is rename the original domain from custdomain.com.au to old.custdomain.com.au.

    A) I don't know how to do this and B) I'm not even sure if this will work.

Thank you in advance for your help. [)

I have changed website domain name in ISPConfig. That works. I am nowadays spoiled by ISPConfig, and do not know how to do this fiddling with web server configuration files. Since you do not reveal what kind of web server you are using, I do not know what docs to read.

I don't know much about the server as another tech used to look after it and I'm purely a Windows guy.

What I did note is that when I go to old.custdomain.com.au, the very first domain (alphabetically) on my server shows up but if I type https as the prefix, it goes to the correct website...
If it helps, the server is Debian based.

Then you probably changed the https vhost only but not the http vhost.

I haven't changed anything at all (yet). I don't know what I need to change. :)

Showing your DNS configurations (/etc/bind/pri.custdomain.com.au) and vhosts configurations (/etc/apache2/sites-enabled/) would probably help to help
