OK, I just got ISPConfig installed, and in my haste I typed my domain "example.com" in as the hostname AND the domain, but obviously https://example.com.example.com:81 won't work. How do I change the hostname to www like it should be?

I found the variable in the sql database and changed the hostname to www. However, the interface still doesn't work (just says page not found). Is there some way to restart the ISPConfig services without restarting the machine?

First, please do not change any variables in SQL. This will not have any effect and might destry your database!

ISPConfig listens on all IP addresses on the server on port 81, there is no configuration needed and the hostname does not matter at all.

I guess your domain does not point to the IP address. So youse the IP instaed of the domain to connect to ISPConfig.

Thanks, figured that out the hard way. Ended up scrapping that particular project though.
