I have recently installed fedora 14, and I'm happy with how it is working on my old hp pavilion 520n. I have datapilot which runs on win 7, vista, xp,2000 and mac os x 10.3.9 or later. First question is should I try installing this directly on fedora? Or is there a program that I should use that will make it work within a windows environment? Next question is does any body know how to make workaround that will allow me to take all texts off my cell? I tried to find where to change the detect.inf file from driver 750 to driver=mo_v9mm within datapilot installation but I couldn't even find where to make that change on my win7 dell laptop. I'm hoping to make this work on fedora..bunch of texts from my daughter I need to save. I'll never get another cell phone that the company has chosen to disable such functions on. What a pain. I totally appreciate any help..it's great to learn this. I've built my own systems in the past but all is new to me now. Fedora is all new to me.
