I'm new to ispconfig and I see there is a plugin for powerdns (/server/plugins-available/powerdns_plugin.inc.php) but I can't find any documentation on how to install it. I bought the manual but it never mentions plugins. How can I install it?
It is recommended to use BIND and not powerdns with ispconfig 3. The powerdns plugin is not actively maintained anymore. The ispconfig manual explains how to use ispconfig, the installation guides for the different Linux distributions can be found here: http://www.ispconfig.org/ispconfig-3/documentation/
Hi till, can I ask you, what are the advantages/disadvantages of each "supported" DNS servers by ISPConfig (BIND, MyDNS, PowerDNS) . We use PowerDNS and I could help with the maintenance of the PowerDNS plugin.
