    Hi.

I installed ISPConfig yesterday but now I've a problem.
I can't connect to my FTP because I don't know which user to use...

    I made a user " Dimatricus " and a website " Dimatricus " for him.
The username of the user is " dimatricus ".
I saw in this forum that when we need to connect on FTP, we need to add web[WEBID]_ (ex : web1_dimatricus )
When I try to connect under web1_dimatricus or web2_dimatricus it don't work....

Where can I see the WebID of the user ?
I also tried to remove this Prefix before the username, the FTP don't work too....

Thank in advance for your answers !

You dont need to know the webID at all. Login to ISPConfig, go to the website and there to the user @ email tab. There you find a list of all user names of this website.

    Thank you, it work !

    I have another question...

    I added a site. I called it Dimatricus.com.
The hostname is www and the domain, dimatricus.com
    (www.dimatricus.com)

I changed the content of www.dimatricus.com with Putty because I don't have access to the index.html file of www.dimatricus.com ...

I added a user in user&email tab, called dimatricus.

This user is suposed to access to the index.html file of www.dimatricus.com no ?

You missed to activate the "administrator" checkbox for the user dimatricus.

    Thank you it worked !

    I've another question.

Which user can modify the default ISPConfig page like the Shared IP ?
I know it's in /var/www/sharedip/, I can modify it from Putty, but can I have FTP access to it ?

    Thank you in advance !

You do not need the WebID indeed, but if you're quirious, within ISPConfig > ISpmanager > Select the web at the left site, press the options tab and press "New" ;) But don't create a database if you don't need of course.
This trick works only if MySQL databases are allowed for the web in case.
