Hi all, I have an IspConfig on Debian 4.0 as HowToForge Perfect Setup.
I finally works good with webmail but what i'm looking for now is to configure outlook/thunderbird or similar sw to download.
I don't know how to manage the pop3 server... I tried to create a co-domain mail.mydomain.ltd and it work for webmail but not if i use it for pop3 connection through thunderbird. I tried to use the ipaddress in the mail server form but nothing happen...
Can somebody suggest me hot to proceed please?
    Thanks a lot.
    Shella.

Assuming you followed th "HowTo" correctly...

To configure OutlookEpress/ThunderBird you just need
1-POP3 Server : your server ip should works
2-SMTP Server : also your server ip should works
3-Account Name : the user name which you create once you create the e-mail including "webXX_".
    4-Password of the e-mail.
5- Of course the e-mail address.

You don't need any thing else if your setup was successfull.
Note I'm using ISPConfig with ubuntu and i don't expect any change in your case as the mail should works this way almost for any mail server.

Final notice : ensure your firewall (on the server and client) did not block mail server ports.

    Aaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
"the user name which you create once you create the e-mail including "webXX_"." This is what i miss! I was using the email as login-name... by the way in the webmail access is the email to use... damn strange world...
Ok ok ok, with webxx_ all is working.
    Thanks sooooo much.
    Have a great day.
