    Hi Guys,

I have a subdomain vHost under ISPConfig which runs Roundcube 1.4.8. The reason why I don't use the debian package is that its outdated and I want to have the new elastic skin. Everything is working so far.

I would like to add an alias "/webmail" globally but it shall automatically redirect to "https://webmail.myispdomain.com" when accessed like "customerdomain.com/webmail".

How can I achieve this? Do you guys have a conf for that? A normal alias wouldn't redirect.

    Thanks in advance!

why not just use /webmail in the webmail url in system - main config - mail, having installed roundcube from the package install as per the perfect server tutorial, and then manually upgrade roundcube over that to 1.4.8
i've posted instructions for installing the perfect server (ubuntu) with newer versions of php/mariadb/jailkit/roundcube etc here:
    https://www.howtoforge.com/communit...ct-server-apache-with-mods.83434/#post-397170
instructions are for roundcube 1.4.1 but it's exactly the same for 1.4.8 and it works perfectly fine. debian install should be identical.

then if you still want to use the webmail.mydomain.com address, just create an empty website (vhost or subdomainvhost) for that domain and set the document root as /var/lib/roundcube
