How To Set Up WebDAV With Apache2 On Debian Lenny

    I followed this howto in the subject line sometime ago on squeeze now i will follow this howto

    How To Set Up WebDAV With Apache2 On Debian Lenny


    since my root directory is now diffrent to the one in the howto

    ie

    /var/www/www.mydomian.com

    how can I amend the some of the commands in the WebDAV howto?

    and how to make WebDAV more secure?

    You must adjust all the paths, also in your vhost configuration.

    If I have a vhost file already do I still need to create a new one?

    in the howto you say

    "Then we back up the default Apache vhost configuration (/etc/apache2/sites-available/default) and create our own one:"

    ps amon.so: Hijacking System Calls For Hardening PHP - Debian Lenny And Squeeze
    will installing a php package on my system be prevented from running if amon.so is installed?

    No, just modify your existing configuration.

    I can't tell anything about amon.so because I didn't test it.
