1. How does one setup port knocking...are their open source solutions? 2. Is it really a workable solution on a webhosting server where if i understand correctly a failure of this configuration will lock everyone out?
Port knocking is a stealth method to externally openports that, by default, the firewall keeps closed. Depends on the setup, how exactly you are thinking to setup that?
