I found many articles in net so wanted to create a topic here. I have just installed ispconfig to debian 9. But roundcube is not latest version. How can I do update ? I see that folder structure is different. Should I use this folder ? /var/lib/roundcube Any automated way?
In my opinion, the best way is to create a new website in ispconfig for roundcube (e.g. something like webmail.yourdomain.tld) and install the latest version in that website. The RoundCube and phpmyadmin that come from Debian and get updated by apt are never the bleeding edge versions.
Ok good idea. How would I also auto redirect all domains' webmail url to this subdomain ? Wemail.[domain.com]
did you install roundcube using apt? I give instructions for upgrading the repo default version of roundcube to 1.4.1 in this thread https://www.howtoforge.com/community/threads/ubuntu-18-04-perfect-server-apache-with-mods.83434/ it's includes quite a few other things, but the roundcube part is towards the end of the code segment. the instructions are for ubuntu 18.04 but I believe the Debian 9 process is identical.
