howto seting up fedora 9 on vmware

I setup vmware server from your how to. Now I am wanting to create a vm for fedora 9. I do not see it when I go to create vm in the vmware console. I also can not connect to the vmware server with winSCP to be able to upload the vmware image. I found the fedora 9 with vmdk exstention on the files. I'm very new to this vmware program. I need some help please. Thank you for the help.

Click on File > New > Virtual Machine and follow the wizard.
