Hi folks. I'm running squirrelmail 1.4.x and a friend told me that 1.5 allows users to change their email password. Functionality I dearly need, cos I can't find a way for users to keep their email passwords private otherwise! Thing is, I don't want to stuff it up. LOL Is there a howto for upgrading it? I'm running ubuntu 14.4 and ISPConfig 3.0.5.4p8. TIA Simon.
I doubt that SquirrelMail 1.5 can change an email user password properly with the ISPConfig API and manipulation it directly in the database is not recommended as this will not be a valid configuration transaction. To change passwords of mail accounts, just use the mail account password changing plugin: https://github.com/w2c/ispconfig3_squirrelmail
