.htaccess 500 Internal Server Error

Hello, when I navigate to a specific directory it works perfectly. After I install a .htaccess file, navigating to that same directory causes an error: 500 Internal Service Error. I am in the process of migrating to new server and I am working with a .htaccess file that works on my old server. I have verified the syntax, file permissions and file ownership. Does anyone have any ideas?

Solution: My apache 2.2, was missing the mod_authz_groupfile module. Adding module resolved issue.
