httpd.conf is there a person kind enough to please tell me where this file is? how does a person find files ( i have ssh access to box) my old server i used to be able to see entire server tree in my ftp applications = not here - i have to modify this file and cannot find it please help.... server path to this file/ thank you ubuntu 8.04
To find a file call: locate name_of_the_file But in case of httpd.conf, in all linux distributions except of redhat it is named apache2.conf today. You will find it in /etc/apacahe2/ The httpd.conf is stilll there in many linux distributions for legacy reasons, but its empty.
