A note, though, I'm (dumb enough to be) running the FC6-RC3 ("Fedora 5.92" - copied the fedora 60 stuff in the ispconfig dist.txt file). My initial install using "The Perfect Setup" for FC5 looked great. Things were moving along fine, the "telnet localhost 25"/ehlo stuff responded fine. Somewhere along the way though this stopped, I don't know what I did which did it, but now the ehlo gets no response whatsoever. My maillog does have this: Oct 17 16:57:00 melko postfix/smtpd[3179]: dict_open: hash:/etc/aliases Oct 17 16:57:00 melko postfix/smtpd[3179]: fatal: open dictionary: expecting "type:name" form instead of "hash:" Oct 17 16:57:01 melko postfix/master[3173]: warning: process /usr/libexec/postfix/smtpd pid 3179 exit status 1 Oct 17 16:57:01 melko postfix/master[3173]: warning: /usr/libexec/postfix/smtpd: bad command startup -- throttling What's the deal here? What else can I show someone ... I've been hitting my head on this since about 11PM last night, after an FC4 upgrade was blown and I had to reinstall .... Many thanks!
