I feel very dumb for this but I followed this howto:

    http://www.howtoforge.com/howto_bind_chroot_debian

for setting this up on a Debian Sarge system. When I got near the end I had a couple of errors - restarting syslog failed and, of course, bind9 wouldn't start. Anyway, these errors may be explained easily: I then realized that I had upgraded the system to etch and forgot. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions. Should I follow the howto again to make sure I hadn't made a mistake? Or should I attempt to reverse things? and if that's the way to go, do you know how and exactly what I need to do?

I generally don't make mistakes this dumb, but, oh well, I sure did.

I'm not sure if this matters any, but the system is a 500MHz ARM Processor Single Board Computer made by www.embeddedarm.com. Link to the actual unit is here: http://www.embeddedarm.com/products/board-detail.php?product=TS-7800 and the manual is here: http://wiki.embeddedarm.com/wiki/TS-7800

Of course any and all help/suggestions will be very very appreciated
