i have a dell inspiron 1501 laptop and i have linux mint 8 burnt to a disc and i cant get the wifi to work on linux mint 8. i want linux to be my base program and run just linux.. i dont know if my laptop is compatible or what. if any of yall can help me and point me in the right direction it will be greatly appreciated
Dell's laptops usually work with out a problem. Anyway most hardware is linux compartible these days. You can test your hardware using a live cd
