The disk usage is fine so far.

Please try to run the setup again. If it still fails with the same error message you should consider checking your hardware with e.g. memcheck for memory errors.

You asked for copy of df -h - See below, lots of spare memory

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
    vzfs 9.6G 166M 9.4G 2% /

Any ideas on what is going on here, have tried twice, same result at the same point of the install

Hint: manually and re-run this 'configure' script
Hint: or provide us the path to your vendor 'patch'
Hint: program via the --with-patch=FILE option (but

This is not the error that caused the problem. Please post the lines above the hint lines you posted above. Th eroor"ERROR: Could not configure Apache" means that the operation of compiling apache has failed, but the error that is causing this final error is listed a few lines above.

I am not sure if my problem is exactly the same. This is my output

    checking libxml2 install dir... no

After I read the output I tried to use apt to install libxml2, but it said I already have it installed. I am using Ubuntu 6.10 server, following this guide http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_setup_ubuntu_6.10

Which version of ISPConfig are you installing? Have you enabled XML manually in the compile script?

This error can normally not happen because libxml2 is disabled in ISPConfig stable branch by default.

To install ISPConfig with xml support, run:

    apt-get install libxml2-dev

The OP is using CentOS, so I guess he needs something with 'yum' or 'rpm'?

    For CentOS, it's
    Code:
    yum install libxml2-devel
