Installation Problems? Unable to connect

    Hello,

I will begin but telling you that I am completely new at this stuff. I know very little about Linux. I followed the installation instructions for CentOS which were provided on the ISPConfig website. I ran through the installation process entering the requested information and everything seemed to go just fine. It said that ISPConfig had started with no problems.

Upon trying to connect to the server I initially received a timeout. From reading other forum postings I came to the conclusion that the problem was that iptables did not have port 81 active so I activated port 81. At this point I no longer got time out. Instead I got a statement from the webbrowser that it could not establish a connection.

When it asked me to select between http and https I went with https. Currently the server is just an IP address as I haven't set any domains to the specified IP address yet but this is it:

    https://65.182.108.230:81

I'm hoping you guys may have some advice which may lead me in the right directions to getting this working.

    Thank you

    Stewart

    Got it working

    Hello,

Just to let you guys know I figured it out. Apparently ISPConfig wasn't actually started. I am going to have to figure out how to ensure it starts up if the server reboots.

    Thanks

    Stewart
