So this is a slave server that you connected to your master server during ispconfig installation in expert mode?

Ok. Which tutorial did you use to prepare the server for the ISPConfig installation?

    this one https://www.howtoforge.com/tutorial/perfect-server-debian-8-jessie-apache-bind-dovecot-ispconfig-3/

I have been using the server for testing a website, the site was going live this week and we need ispconfig features. I had previously installed it up till ispconfig install and did not do install until today. so its either the site, the setup of apache2.
So now i have just re installed on a fresh hard drive, re followed the tutorial and it works fine. so something obviously different. between them.
    nevermind, sorted now. thanks anyway
