Hi I have a machine which needs a raid driver: enable CONFIG_EXPERIMENTAL=y and CONFIG_SCSI_AACRAID={y,m} I need to build a new kernel with the above, and then install on my computer. I have a machine running etch which I can use to recompile the kernel. All the howtos asume you want to install your new kernel on the same machine. I need to install on a different machine. Thanks Chris
You can build the kernel as shown here: http://www.howtoforge.com/kernel_compilation_debian_etch and then move the new .deb package to the other machine and install it there.
