Hello, everybody. Here's what I'm trying to do: -Dual boot Ubuntu Studio and Fedora Workstation 40, having the option to boot between one of them in Grub on boot up. Here's how far I got: -Installing Ubuntu Studio. Here's where I got hung up: -When in the Fedora 40 Workstation live installer, it gives me the choice to automatically or customize my partitions, and I selected custom to ensure I want it sized the way I want. Whenever I do this, it doesn't allow me to create a partition (Error: Unable to allocate requested partition scheme). It says there's only 2.5MB of the SSD available to install. Did I skip a step somewhere? Thanks for your time! Computer Specs: Dell Optiplex 5050 3.5GHz i5 24GB of Ram 4TB SSD
My guess is there is no free space on the disk to create a new partition. I have not installed Fedora since 1995, so I do not know how it works, but Ubuntu installer lets you create partitions manually. Create a partition for swap and another partition for Ubuntu. Size that partition so there is enough unused space on disk so Fedora installer can create partition it needs.
