I get the below message (see attached file) when trying to install ISPConfig in the 'Ubuntu Edgy Eft'! Can anyone assist me please??? Code: checking for BSD-compatible nm... /usr/bin/nm -B checking how to recognise dependent libraries... pass_all checking for object suffix... o checking for executable suffix... no checking for c++... c++ checking whether the C++ compiler (c++ ) works... no configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C++ compiler cannot create executables. ERROR: Could not configure PHP cd: error retrieving current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent directories: No such file or directory
Are you maybe installing from "/root/ispconfig" ? if so, have a look here ** edit.. Looking at your attached file you are installing from: /tmp/install_ispconfig
Yes I am installing from /tmp/install_ispconfig. That is where the manual tells me to be when I enter the command './setup' Are you suggesting I should be in another folder??
/tmp/install_ispconfig is correct. Sorry I can not help you with this. Maybe wait for some of the ISPconfig gurus to reply to this message
Thanks anyway! The text looks like it is trying to find c++. Do you think I need to install this & if so how do I do that?
I have identified the problem (after re-installing Edgy Eft ). I had missed a line out when editing the file '/etc/default/saslauthd'. The line was : - Code: PARAMS="-m /var/spool/postfix/var/run/saslauthd -r" I have now included it and I have completed the installation. Thanks for everyones' help!!
