I was gifted with my very own VPS a month or so ago, and my benefactor put webadmin on it. It's running Debian. Heretofore I have used commercial hosting with cpanel or plesk-- I want to switch to something a little bit more user friendly, such as ISPconfig. It's scary enough learning to manage a server without having to learn something as geeky as webadmin! Is this possible?
It is possible to install ispconfig on a server that runs webmin, but it will be easier if you install it on a clean server. Most vserver hosters offer free reinstallations, if thats the case at your hoster youshould consider to reinstall the vserver and choose a debian minimal image (if available) as that cleaner then starting with a lamp image. With a debian minimal as starting point, follow this guide from chapter 5: http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-debian-squeeze-with-bind-and-dovecot-ispconfig-3-p3
