Installing KDE on CentOS 5.3 dedi w/VMWare Server or FreeNX

Recently, I had a VPS with KDE preconfigured and installed but I left that VPS provider. Now, I'd like to install the desktop environment correctly on my dedicated server (which has CentOS 5.3 installed as well as the DirectAdmin control panel) using FreeNX. I'm using a bash shell on my Vista 64 box to install the desktop and servers.

    My question are:

    1) Do I need to create a VPS on my dedi to install KDE or can I just run "yum groupinstall "FreeNX and NX" "KDE (K Desktop Environment)" and allow them to install anyplace?

    2) Do I need to install a specific IP address to run KDE via NX Client?

    3) if I want to install it on the VMware Server so I can use it on VMware Workstation instead, how do I do that? (That is, assuming I can get past the "https" login for the Vmware server download.)

Anything else I should consider? Thanks!
