I am installing a CentOS web server running behind a firewall on my customers network for specialized web based app. It must be accessible from both intranet and internet which is Windows workstations and Windows servers with DNS.

I am confused with BIND on Linux.

After I install CentOS it and give it a static IP (E.g. 192.168.1.10/255.255.255.0 and Gateway is 192.168.1.1) and a name e.g. myserver.customer.com, what information do I need in the zones for bind?

Any documentation or advise is appreciated.

    Thanks

P.S. I have been using cPanel but it is already a server that I rent on the cloud with everything preinstalled .

You should use the public IP for DNS records because otherwise people from out side the local network cannot access the site.
