    Greetings all,

I am testing a new environment (16.04LTS ISPConfig 3.1). Has anyone installed Magento 2 in a vhost? I am having some trouble figuring it out.
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Are there any threads regarding this?

There should be nothing special in regard to ispconfig, just upload it and open the magento url to follow it's install wizard.

    1) create a website and database in ispconfig.
    2) upload magento to the web directory of the website, just ensure that all files and folders of magento are owned by the web user und client id of this website.
    3) open the magento url in the browser and follow it's install wizard.

    Till, Thanks for your response.
With Magento 1.* your process works well. With Magento 2.* the installation process is completely different.

As far as I can see, Magento 2 has still a web installer which can be started after you uploaded Magento to the web dir instead of using the new method with composer.
