I have been trying to get suPHP to work for days now, and I am very close, but no cigar :/

All the How-To's I have found either mention a different OS, rely on other components (i.e. ISPconfig), or involve recompiling apache/php which I am trying to avoid.

I have suPHP successfully (I think) compiled and installed, but whenever I load a .php file, it prompts me to download the php file. Most instructions mention adding the AddHandler/AddType statements to suphp.conf, but no luck. If anyone has this working on a regular CentOS 5.2 install, can they please post the /etc/httpd/conf.d/suphp.conf and /etc/suphp.conf here? Thanks!

Can you post your configuration files here? Are there any errors in Apache's error log?
