Hi, I've been asked to build my first linux server. I'm using Ubuntu 7.04 (desktop). The location has 1 ADSL connection, which runs into a router. The client systems (approx 70) are connected to the router by a number of switches. They currently use a Windows2K desktop to provide DNS. The Win2K server will be decommisioned and the new server introduced. The requirements are that the server will be a fileserver, serving over 70 clients running WinXP or Win2K. The server will also have to restrict internet access for users to just one website, managers will be able to access any website. I know I need to set up Samba for the file server, but how would I complete the second item? Do I neccesarily need to set up the system as a PDC? I hope someone can help me with this. James
