Intodns: can't get any nameservers from your nameserver

I'm new to vps/ispconfig and dns and am trying to get the private nameservers and dns records setup properly at my domain registrar and on centos 7.2.1511 ispconfig3.1dev.
- i have a single ip
- named is running
- telnet ... 53 does let me in

If anyone has a suggestion for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

whoops! while updating ispconfig3.1.1, system unable to start up mailman and httpd. am troubleshooting to get it back up.

---> re-installed and system back to where the DNS disconnect is happening.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

i'm not sure how to put the shell output into a nice box, but here it is. since my last post, i tried changing /etc/resolv.conf to nameserver 167.114.182.176 and that's gives this dig result.

question: is this problem related to some improper install of ispconfig. when i added a client or site, there was no clients directory create in /var/www/ ?

The following changes are not yet populated to all servers:
Create DNS record: 13
Update DNS record: 10
Create DNS zone: 1
Update DNS zone: 13
Create FTP user: 1
Update FTP user: 2
datalog_status_u_server: 2
Create new website: 1
Update website settings: 3

And Show Jobqueue has a bunch of work still to do. I must have done something incorrectly that these jobs still haven't been done.

 

hi, yes thanks. crond ran the script (i might not even had crond running!) and the jobqueue is empty. dns is working now. thank you for your help!
