Hey, I'm attempting to install ISPConfig 3 on a Debian 6 server, and receive this error after the instillation: I was wondering if anyone could help me :/ Thank you!
Hey, did you have a look elsewhere on the internet for the errormessage? Did you check if mod_suexec is active? You can check the active modules apache2ctl -t -D DUMP_MODULES Did you check the error log of apache, what does it indicate?
Hey, Yeah I've spent a bit of time poking around, but can only find the issue listed in sites that date back to around 2005, they don't really help much :/ Sadly I can't run apache2ctl -t -D DUMP_MODULES either, it gives me the same error as above.
So turns out the module wasn't actually installed, so I used a2enmod to fix that (just in case anyone reading this has the same issue). Huge blond moment on my part, thanks for trying to help >..<
did you check the config for mod_suexec beeing active? If not you may also try "a2enmod" without parameters it will list the available modules. Is "suexec" missing you need to install it. You can also try a2enmod suexec directly. You might verify the packages you installed and the ones falko / till suggest in their howto: http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-debian-squeeze-with-bind-and-dovecot-ispconfig-3-p4
