    Hello,
I am currently evaluating a few different options for a mail server.
I want to have a linux based server with pop, imap and web mail.
I have followed the tutorial on configuring the perfect server with
ubuntu 7.10. Everything worked fine until the end. I am relatively new
to linux (been messing with CentOS and Ubuntu for a couple months).
It is more than I need, but I was going to try ISPConfig to manage the server,
I really just need the ability to host a couple domains and virtual users.
Here is the error I get during the install of ISPConfig, if anyone can shed some light, I would be grateful. Or point me in another direction to get a server up
that meets the mail requirements above. I downloaded ISPConfig to a windoze box and ftp'd it to my linux box (if it's relevant)

    ......

    install_ispconfig/ispconfig/lib/help/br_1013.hlp
    install_ispconfig/ispconfig/lib/help/br_1014.hlp
    install_ispconfig/ispconfig/lib/help/fr_1012.hlp
    install_ispconfig/ispconfig/lib/help/br_1016.hlp
    install_ispconfig/ispconfig/lib/help/fr_1013.hlp
    install_ispconfig/ispconfig/lib/help/fr_1014.hlp
    install_ispconfig/ispconfig/lib/help/fr_1016.hlp
    install_ispconfig/ispconfig/lib/classes/
    install_ispconfig/ispconfig/lib/classes/ispconfig_isp_dienste.lib.php
    install_ispconfig/ispconfig/lib/classes/ispconfig_session.lib.php
    tar: Skipping to next header

gzip: stdin: invalid compressed data--format violated
    tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

    Thanks in advance,
    Chris
