Hi I was wondering if we can just set up ISPconfig to access sites/ftp via ip address only???? I know that with webhost manager if you set up a website you can access the websites via ipaddress/~websiteusername. ex http:/192.192.192.1/~bill and be able to ftp to the site just using the ip address and username/password will take you to the users directory.. If not can someone suggest a free control panel that does???? Thanks
You can access the webste by adding a line to the hosts file on your workstation. Or you modify ISPConfig to use rewrite rules in the shared IP website to make sites accessible by IP before the domain resolves.
