IPCop on usb drive - help!

Hello everyone!
I want to try to use the ipcop usb version on my pc... how I can install it?
And what is the difference between fdd-hdd and zip?
I've found this.is it correct?

If your USB stick is unpartitioned, I'd use the fdd image, otherwise the hdd image. I don't know what the zip image is for...

Maybe... I'd copy the contents of the USB stick somewhere else before I try this.
