During the installation of ISPConfig 3, I enabled https or ssl. Whenever I access ISPConfig 3 admin, it redirect me automatically to https connection. My question is if even my SSL is not signed by verisign or the like, is the https connection still in effect?
Yes, but it's called a self-signed certificate and will typically popup a warning on a lot of browsers. It's secure, but not as secure as a certificate signed by a trusted 3rd party (such as verisign) More: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-signed_certificate
