    Hi

I’m just wondering if there is any update on the ISPconfig version 3?. Is there a planned release date?

I have Just received my new Dell PowerEdge 840 server and planning change my old ISPconfig server with this one. So I don’t want to setup the current ISPconfig version if the new version 3 is right around the corner. I don’t want to move my sites more then I have to.

I heard some rumors that it’s not possible to upgrade to version 3, and a full reinstallation is necessary. Is this correct?

I also just want to say thanks for a great system. ISPconfig Works great!:)

The authors of ISPConfig promised a migration path from 2 to 3.

There is no release date yet. But the next pre release of ISPConfig 3 will be released probably next week.

If you want to try the latest ISPConfig 3, you may get it directly from SVN:

    svn://svn.ispconfig.org/ispconfig3/trunk/

You will find installation instructions for Debian and Ubuntu in SVN.

There will be no direct update, as ISPConfig 3 uses a completely different architecture then ISPConfig 2 and has other software requirements. But we will provide some kind of import function for ISPConfig 2 configurations.
