ISC BIND $INCLUDE directive

    Hello,
    how can i insert a $INCLUDE (RFC 1035 standard directive) on a DNS zone file through ISPConfig 3?

    You can not include other files into a zone file that is generated by ISPConfig.

    Using include means that you don't want to manage the records of that zone in ISPConfig. When you want to manage a zone manually, then you can create it manually in the bind config directory. So I don't see the real use case for adding includes, especially as one would have to forbid clients in ISPConfig to use it anyway.

    On my opinion can be useful if you need to dinamically add some records to all your zone files. You can manage these records acting on just one zone and not hundred of these

    If you want to add an include to all zone files, then simply modify the /usr/local/ispconfig/server/conf/bind_pri.domain.master file and store it in the /usr/local/ispconfig/server/conf-custom/ folder.

    And if you want to dynamically add and remove records in some zones only, then you can do that on an ISPConfig server with the remote API.
