    I installed ispconfig on ubuntu(http://www.howtoforge.org/perfect-server-ubuntu8.04-lts)
    And I can't send mail to certain mail services like gmail(although it can get mails from gmail).
    I understand that there is a PTR record problem and the only way that I can get mail out to gmail is to use a relay threw my ISP.
    I followed these steps:
    in the etc/postfix/main.cf file i put :
    relayhost = out.myISP.net
    smtp_sasl_password_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/sasl_passwd
    smtp_sender_dependent_authentication = yes

    and I oviesly make a sasl_passwd file and hash it.

    and still get an error what do I do wrong?

    ***solved
