Best, I'm using ISPconfig for a while now and it's working great! But when I create a Shell user / Sftp / Chroot user I can't login. But when i create a shell user without Chroot checked I can login without any issues. When I look into the logs (auth.log) i get the following message: jk_chrootsh[3039]: path /var/www/clients/clientXX/webXXX/./var/www/clients/client[client_id]/web[website_id]/home/tester_default_sftp is not owned by user jk_chrootsh[3039]: path /var/www/clients/clientXX/webXXX/./var/www/clients/client[client_id]/web[website_id]/home/tester_default_sftp is not owned by group jk_chrootsh[3039]: abort, path /var/www/clients/clientXX/webXXX/./var/www/clients/client[client_id]/web[website_id]/home/tester_default_sftp is not owned by I'm running: Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS Jailkit: version 2.19 ISPConfig: 3.1.15p2 ps. a side note when I create a new sftp user with jaikit it works fine. (but then you can't access the clients web folder etc.) Can someone help me out with this problem? Thanks in advance.
Shell users can not login by sftp as some programs needed for sftp are not in the jail. Please serach the forum, this has been covered already incl. instructions on what you need to add to the jail config if you want to allow sftp for jailed shell users.
