(ISP3) Error: configuration file /etc/getmail/*.conf does not exist

This is what i get when i look in the "ISPConfig Cron Log":

I followed the "Perfect Setup on lenny". Everything else works like a charm up until now.. but this one looks ugly....

In ISPconfig 3.0.0.1 getmail does not work

I am moving to a new server and I want to retrive mail via fetchmail.

I followed the Perfect Setup on lenny and install first the ISPConfig-3.0.1.tar.gz and the svn version. The same errors in both cases.

I have this errors when I run /usr/local/ispconfig/server/scripts/run-getmail.sh

Delivery error (command sendmail 23965 error (127, exec of command sendmail failed (refuse to invoke external commands as root or GID 0 by default)))
msg 1/34 (15499 bytes), delivery error (command sendmail 23965 error (127, exec of command sendmail failed (refuse to invoke external commands as root or GID 0 by default)))

And in
In /var/log/ispconfig/cron.log

Error: unknown argument(s) ['/etc/getmail/mail.***.com_user@***.com.conf'] ; try --help


Any sugestions?

This has been fixed in SVN already. We will release an update next week.

 

I am also getting this error with ISPConfig0.0.1.3 and getmail-4.9.0-1.el5.rf.noarch on CentOS 5.3, is there a way to make it happy and stop the error?

I'm getting this same errors in ISPC Cron Log. I have multiple mailboxes configured. Problem is that I do not recieve any mail.

I upgraded to 3.0.1.3 today and reconfigured the services. I'm running on CentOS 5.3.

Could you tell me why I do not receive any mail then? Some entries are on the filesystem in for example /var/spool/postfix/deferred/2/24EA014F02FB. This mail does not show up in my IMAP mailbox however.

Ok, I'm getting closer.

Earlier, I uninstalled amavis and clamav since I do my spam filtering with google / postini. I guess the problem is related to that. Trying to confirm that, I got the following error during re-installing amavis:

I am unable to fix this.

Another issue arose after doing a yum upgrade. This installs a more recent postfix version without mysql support. Causing postfix fails to load. This can only be fixed by reinstalling the (outdated) custom built rpm:

rpm -Uvh --force postfix-2.3.3-2.1.i386.rpm

 

I'm sorry for that. From the install guide, I did not understand it was a requirement. Furthermore I am not complaining, only asking for help, fixing the errors I encounter, and keeping you up to date. I think ISPconfig is a nice piece of software that fits the goal, for free. And I am glad you're even providing support on it. Thanks for that.

From you're last post, I found out this amavis is required for the configuration, so I'am trying to reinstall it, without luck so far.

Ok, mail is flowing in now

I downgraded lzo to resolve to mentioned dependency problems:

rpm -ivh --force lzo-1.08-5.el5.rf.i386.rpm

Then reinstalled clamav, amavisd-new etc. Then updated ispconfig and reconfigured the services.

What can I do if I don't use getmail, but would like to stop it from cluttering my cron.log file?

On a related note, where can I find a crontab log, detailing which cronjobs were run at what time? The file /var/log/ispconfig/cron.log does not appear to be it.
