Hi all. Thanks for an excellent product. I have installed 3.0.3 and all was fine. I then decided to upgrade my Ubuntu server from 9.10 to 10.10. That upgrade went fine as well. But now i am not able to connect to my mail My websites are working fine, but not the mail. I have my mail account configured in Outlook as IMAP. When I open Outlook I accept the certificate error(as I have always), and then outlook stalls completely. I have tried via webmail, where I can connect, but my folders or mail is not there. Any help is much appreciated. Best regards Jim
Allright, this is weird! I just clicked my own mail account in the ISPC web interface, just to check for errors. After clicking about, my mail is now working. BUT! All the other peoples mail does NOT work. I tried again with another mail which I have access to, and voila, that mail works now aswell Must I click all peoples mail accounts in ISPC web interface? Oh and BTW, all my folders names are now changed to "INBOX.Drafts, INBOX.Sent, etc". Previously they were just called "Drafts, Sent, etc". Thanks again. /Jim
No. This depends on the settings of your mail client and not the ispconfig server. Make sure that your client. INBOX. is the preefix that is always used by courier servers and mail clients like thunderbird, outlook or squirrelmail recognize that and do not show the prefix. Regarding your mail problem, you have to run the ispconfig update and select to reconfigure services after you updated ubuntu as ubunto most likely has overwritten some config files.
Thanks for your reply Till. I have re-installed ISPC several times, reconfiguring services, this does not help. The INBOX. problem seems to have solved it self by this morning I am very nervous that something is wrong with my ISPC-server, can you guide me to some checks to perform, showing everything is allright with my server? Thanks in advance for your help. Best regards Jim
If you do not have any actual problems like non working websites or email accounts, then everything is ok with your setup.
That's the problem, i'm not sure Yesterday I had to click through all the mail addresses on my server, for them to be functional. I have not yet "solved" that issue, apart from clicking in the web interface. Thanks, Jim
